5S AND SELECTIVE COLLECTION
____________________________________________________________________

Among lots of initiatives Ibema has been undertaking looking for improvements, the implantation of 5S Program is promoting the correct use of resources and at the same time eliciting the improvement of the work environment in which the employees are located. In spite of the simplicity of the concepts and the easiness of practical appliance 5S Program is not an easy task in its implantation.

This is because its core is the elicitation of changes in people's attitudes and habits, that is, an educational process. The program deals with concepts to strongly modify the citizenship and the management, having a focus on the human being. The mobilization to develop the senses of Disposal (SEIRI), Organization (SEITON), Cleanness (SEISO), Hygiene (SEIKETSU) and Discipline (SHITSUKE) – which imply in better use of time, raw material and intelligence – will propitiate improvement in quality and increasing productivity. In addition to the implantation of the program, the strategic group of assigned people that counts on Pedro Noadyr, João Matheus, Odair Valux, Camila de Souza and Gisele de Lara is also employing efforts for the inclusion of the Waste Management Program that intends to identify the sources of solid residues and quantify them in order to promote the reduction, reuse and recycling of the obtained residues and to reduce the final placing in the industrial waste yard thus looking into sustainability.

Garbage baskets are being made available in the sectors for residues to be placed in. The baskets are standardized according to Conama Resolution 275/2001: blue basket (paper), red (plastic), yellow (iron), green (glass), brown (organic waste) and gray (unusable waste).

The main materials to be recycled are iron, glass, plastic and paper. Among the objects that cannot be recycled we find fluorescent lamps, oil, greases, potteries, acrylic objects, carbon paper, toilet paper, adhesive tapes and labels, cigarette butts, absorbents and napkins.

A training will be carried out for all employees and third partners having as its main objective the awareness of the implantation of 5S and Selective Collection programs. For program monitoring, monthly audits will be carried out with publication in the main sheet.
